Record a one-time purchase without making it a recurring bill. Open Spending, then select the plus button.

Enter six dollars for a bus fare. Choose Transport, and check the date and currency.

Save the expense. Your month’s total and recent expenses now include the bus fare.

Use the category tabs to find related purchases. Transport shows the bus fare we just added.

Demonstration uses fictional household data. Narration uses an AI-generated voice.

Before you start

A viewer cannot add expenses. Have the amount, currency and purchase date ready; logging an expense does not move money.

Add the purchase

  1. Open Spending, select Add, then Log expense. If only Add expense is shown, select it to open the form directly.
  2. Enter the amount, currency, category and purchase date. Add Merchant / note if useful. If offered, choose Spent by using the correct member.
  3. Select Add expense, then check the purchase in Recent expenses.

Correct a purchase

Use the expense’s edit control to correct its fields, then Save changes. Check the date and category if it does not appear in the expected view. Delete only a mistaken record you no longer need; do not log the same purchase again to correct it.
