Import a list of bills or expenses
In short
Use Settings record import for PDF, XLS, XLSX or CSV files. Review the proposed bills and expenses before adding selected rows.
Before you start
Import bills & expenses is a Pro and Family feature and requires write access. This is separate from Spending’s statement matching flow, which supports different file types and match decisions.
Review and import records
- Open Settings → Data & export and choose Import bills & expenses.
- Upload a PDF up to 10 MB, or XLS, XLSX or CSV up to 5 MB. Choose whether to include expenses when offered.
- Review each row’s type, name, amount, currency, category, date and cadence. Correct any missing required details.
- Inspect possible duplicates and acknowledge only the selected duplicates you genuinely want added.
- Choose Add selected items, then check the completion counts and the resulting records in Bills or Spending.
If rows cannot be added
Correct the highlighted fields and check the selected rows before retrying. Review the result after any interruption rather than blindly submitting the same file again. For bank/card purchases you want matched to existing payments, use Import statement on Spending instead.
